Other avenues

Hi there,
I've been out of touch lately and frankly, there are only so many hours in the day. If you're looking to keep up with me on a more regular basis, check out my flickr stream. I'll be back to check in, though. Don't you worry!

  1. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog!

We haven't heard the NPR story on them; I'll see if I can find it online.

From what we've learned so far, it seems they "cure" allergies for almost everyone who gets them. They only live 3-5 years, but as long as you replace them you can stay symptom free. People with very serious auto-immune diseases (Crohn's, MS, etc) have more varying results.

Jeff has a pretty wide range of auto-immune problems (but none of the super-serious ones) so we're pretty interested to see what gets better. I'm sure I'll post more about it later. He's supposed to have the peak result sometime between 6 weeks and 3 months after he got them. And then they decide whether to give him more or not. It's pretty interesting stuff. :)
